GLASS ART
Having enjoying living around places abundant in trees and sounds of insects, three dimensional glass was my ideal way to do renditions of favorite life forms I’d encounter, or to include their themes in functional art pieces.
I soon found that slumped and fused glass allowed me to make the creations more true to the ones in nature. Using powder frits I could achieve finer and more accurate details, no longer being limited by foil and solder techniques.
Over time I re-engineered what I made so that the pieces now can be easily transported and repaired. Though the style has matured and changed, my pieces are still individually made with integrity. All are signed, dated, and documented in my personal art journal.
