GLASS ART GENERAL INFORMATION
My themes are generally of familiar life forms from the places I have lived in or have liked visiting. To make the sculptures large enough to get the important details of the actual life form, yet small enough to be easily manageable, is my goal. I often use a combination of copper foil stained glass technique with fused/slumped glass and fine frits, which allows me to get finer details or 3-D effect where solder and foil is impractical.
The only maintenance required is to take them inside if snow or excessive wind is in the forecast, and give them a new buffing of Turtle Wax to shine them up if you want to. Most repairs are usually simple and parts easily removable in case of accident or need to transport.
Special requests and commissions are welcome. Just give me the subject matter (species of butterfly or plant) and any other specifications you need and I’ll do the rest.
All are signed, dated, and documented in my personal art journal.
